Terms of Use
Effective date: 2026-10-05
These terms govern your use of the AdBlock Pro Max app and adblockpromax.com, provided by Massive Ventures, Inc. ("we"). By installing or using the app you agree to them.
1. Licence
The app is licensed, not sold, to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA), which is incorporated here. Where these terms add to the standard EULA, these terms apply in addition; where they conflict, the standard EULA prevails for matters it covers. Apple is a third-party beneficiary and may enforce the licence against you.
2. What the app does
AdBlock Pro Max is an on-device DNS filter. When it is on, DNS lookups for hosts on your chosen lists are answered on your device with an empty answer, and every other lookup is forwarded unchanged to the DNS resolver your network uses or the public resolver you choose. The app also includes a Safari content blocker. To install the filter, iOS asks you to allow a VPN configuration; that is the system permission for an on-device filter of this kind.
The app is not a VPN service. It operates no servers in your data path, does not route your traffic, does not change or hide your IP address or location, does not encrypt or inspect your connections and provides no anonymity. Do not rely on it for any of those purposes.
3. What the app does not guarantee
- No ad filter blocks every ad. Ads delivered from the same hosts as the content you asked for (for example inside video or social feeds) are not blocked, and lists can never be complete.
- Blocking an ad host can change how an app behaves. Some games will report that no rewarded ad is available; some apps may fail to load a feature that depends on a blocked host. You can pause the filter or allow a host at any time.
- iOS allows one network filter or VPN at a time. The filter is disconnected while a VPN app is connected, and the other way round.
- Lookups that are not blocked are answered by the resolver you use, whose availability and privacy practices are outside our control.
4. Blocklists
The lists the app uses are compiled from publicly available sources under their respective licences, together with our own curated list of advertising and tracking hosts, and are published at adblockpromax.com. We may add, remove or change entries at any time to keep apps working or to improve blocking. Lists are provided "as is" and may contain errors; if a host you need is blocked, allow it in the app or tell us at [email protected].
5. Acceptable use
Use the app only on devices you own or are authorised to manage. You must not use it to interfere with, damage or gain unauthorised access to any network, service or device, to break any agreement you have with a third party, or in any way that breaks the law. You may not reverse engineer the app except where the law allows, or redistribute the app or its lists in a way that misrepresents their source.
6. Premium subscriptions
The core ad filter, the Safari content blocker, Pause, Shortcuts and today's statistics are free. Premium unlocks four extra filter lists (trackers and analytics, malware and phishing, adult content, gambling), unlimited allow and block rules, 7-day and 30-day statistics and daily list updates.
Payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase or, if you start a free trial, when the trial ends. The subscription automatically renews for the same period at the same price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions, or from Settings › Manage Subscription in the app; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Refunds are decided by Apple under its App Store terms; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We may change Premium prices for future periods; Apple will notify you and ask for your consent where required.
7. Changes to the app
We may update, change or discontinue features, lists or the app itself. If a change materially reduces what Premium includes during a paid period, contact us and we will put it right.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app and the lists are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of the lists, or uninterrupted operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, revenue or profits, arising from your use of the app, including from an app or game that behaves differently while a host is blocked. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it; this removes the filter configuration, statistics, rules and settings from your device. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections 4, 8 and 10 survive termination.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County, California, except that consumers in the EU, UK and other jurisdictions keep the protection of the mandatory laws and courts of their country of residence.
